Bill Haskell, Joint Base Andrews Tax Center tax preparer

Haskell commissioned into the United States Marine Corps and deployed to Vietnam where he served as a platoon leader. There, he earned a Silver Star, a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. He was medically retired from the Marine Corps following his return from combat.

His retirement benefited the Andrews community as he has volunteered 9 hours per day, five days per week at the Andrews Tax Center for the past three years. Haskell’s expertise and capability has ensured that even the most complicated tax return is accomplished quickly, completely and correctly.

In the first seven weeks of Andrews’s Tax Center’s operation alone, the center accomplished 1241 tax returns, saving clients $144,111 in tax preparation fees and collected $2,421,032 in refunds. Haskell personally served 90 clients during this time and performed quality review for every return accomplished by the center. His dedication and diligence ensured that clients leave the center confident that their return was prepared accurately.
