National Theatre

Consider attending “Saturday Morning at the National,” a series highlighting The National Theatre’s free Saturday morning performances. The series is designed for the whole family. Shows range from puppet and magic shows to showcases of music and ballet. Seating is limited and tickets are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis 30 minutes prior to show time. Tickets and group rates vary with each attraction and according to availability. Hearing amplification is available. Meridian Hill Park

Feel the beat of a local tradition at Meridian Hill Park on Sundays between 3 and 9 p.m. and hear the park’s drum circle. The drum circle has been a fixture in the park for more than 40 years that brings people together from all different backgrounds to hear drum beats and watch African dancing. For a hands-on experience, bring your own drum to join in. Meridian Hill Park is located in northwest Washington, D.C., and is bordered by 16th, Euclid, 15th, and W Streets. Meridian Hill Park was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1994, as "an outstanding accomplishment of early 20th-century Neoclassicist park design in the United States." Signature Theatre

Get half-priced, day-of-show or advanced sale tickets for theater seats at the Signature Theatre online at TICKETPLACE.org. The Signature Theatre is run by the Cultural Alliance of Greater Washington, D.C. Stop by their booth located at 7th St between D & E Streets Northwest to purchase tickets in person. The theater’s sale booth is open Wednesday - Friday from 11 a.m. 6 p.m.; on Sat. from 10 a.m. 5 p.m. and Sun. from 12 p.m. 4 p.m.
