Patient Shuttle Service at Silver Spring Metro
Patient Shuttle Service is now available at the Silver Spring Metro. If space permits, staff may ride the shuttle as well. The shuttle, running approximately every 15 minutes, will pick up in front of the Silver Spring Metro bus lane and drop off/pick up on campus in front of the America building. The shuttle will be marked "Walter Reed National Military Medical Center." For more information, email jeffrey.millermed.navy.mil or andrew.nevillemed.navy.mil.
Additional Carpool Parking Available
To support the growth of the carpool program, additional carpool spaces have been added in the "I" lot, located next to the Child Development Center. These spaces are in addition to the reserved carpool spaces in Building 55. The additional parking spaces in the "I" lot are in the southern half of the lot, along Jones Bridge Road, and current carpool groups may use these new spaces. To use any of the carpool spaces, staff must apply and receive a carpool hang tag from the Pass & ID office, which is now located at the North Gate. Carpools must consist of at least two staff members. For more information, email Naval Support Activity Bethesda's (NSAB) Transportation Program Coordinator at ryan.emer-ymed.navy.mil.
